Here is Rosalie’s Story In the heart of Hinobaan Philippines, Rosalie has been operating a fishing business for the last eight years. During that time she has been working hard to help her husband support her family, and her business has helped them tremendously. However, growing the business has been rather difficult, and therefore she approached one of Kiva’s partners NWTF for a loan. Her loan request of 15,000 Philippine Pesos would enable her to buy additional fishing nets and pay for the maintenance of her fishing boat. By doing this, she will be able to catch more fish to sell and therefore be able to expand her business.
