Organizational leadership: A balancing act

The success of an organization hinges on various factors, one of which is maintaining a delicate balance between meeting the needs of the employees and achieving the goals of the organization.
Organizational leadership is therefore a business tool that management should understand and practice as it addresses collective and business welfare. Everyone in the company, from the support staff to the technical group – is provided an environment wherein they are empowered and appreciated.

This concept is based on five components, namely:
Leadership: Effective leadership, manifested through exceptional qualities of the leader and by example, motivates followers to perform under any circumstance.
Ethics: Using moral principles to govern work behavior, activities, and decisions, reputation and productivity can be encouraged in the workplace as these encourage both impartiality and engagement.
Communication: Communication is considered effective when all parties involved interface with one another and voice out their perspectives while understanding everyone’s beliefs, values, assumptions, and expectations.
Strength: Proper organizational leadership identifies and capitalizes on the strengths and proficiencies of individual members, based on their talents, knowledge, and skills, and navigates around their weaknesses.
Worldview: Worldview is defined as people’s beliefs, opinions, attitudes, and the outside forces that influence interpersonal relationships. Organizational leadership understands the diverse and conflicting worldviews of individuals while working around them to ensure productivity.
